Foundations Through Play

Our Kinder Judo classes give 5–6 year olds a fun, structured foundation in grappling arts. Kids learn safe falling, basic throws, and simple holds, with age-appropriate elements from Judo, BJJ, and Wrestling to build balance, coordination, confidence, and respect.

What Kids Learn

Movement Skills

Balance, agility, and strong movement patterns through games and drills.

Safe Falling

Gentle ukemi (breakfalls) to keep practice safe and build body awareness.

Teamwork

Partner activities that teach sharing the mats, taking turns, and cheering others on.

Character

Discipline, respect, listening skills, and confidence — on and off the mats.

Class Flow

Warm-up: playful movement (animal walks, ladders), balance drills, mat awareness.

Skill of the Day: age-appropriate grappling fundamentals — falls, “big step” entries, simple holds.

Games: short partner games and obstacle courses to reinforce the lesson and keep energy high.

Cool-down: gratitude, quick recap, and high-fives for effort and teamwork.
